The story behind
Goulash is the ultimate expression of slow-cooking. What I enjoy most about this dish is how the paprika transforms simple ingredients into a vibrant, deep sauce that envelops the meat until it is fork-tender. It is a dish that tells stories of tradition and home, ideal for serving on a cold afternoon straight from a cast-iron skillet, maintaining that professional and clean aesthetic we value.
Instructions
-
1In a heavy pot, brown the beef cubes in batches and set aside.
-
2In the same fat, sauté the onions and bell pepper until soft.
-
3Briefly remove from heat to add the paprika (to prevent it from burning and becoming bitter).
-
4Return the meat to the pot, add the tomatoes and broth.
-
5Simmer on very low heat, covered, for at least 2 hours or until the meat is fork-tender.
