The story behind
Originating from the island of Capri, this salad represents the colors of the Italian flag. As seen in the image, it is presented with alternating slices of vibrant red tomato and fresh white mozzarella cheese, garnished with green basil leaves. The final touch comes from a drizzle of balsamic glaze and extra virgin olive oil, beautifully styled on a stone surface with elegant silverware.
Instructions

1Wash and slice the tomatoes into approximately 1 cm thick rounds.

2Slice the fresh mozzarella into similar rounds.

3On a round white plate, alternate a tomato slice with a mozzarella slice until the circle is complete, as shown in the photo.

4Tuck fresh basil leaves between and over the slices.

5Sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.

6Generously drizzle with olive oil and finish with a ribbon of balsamic glaze to heighten the flavors.
