The story behind
This is the recipe I always order when I'm near the sea. The aroma of garlic browning in butter is irresistible and reminds me of family meals at the beach. I love serving them in a clay pot because it holds the heat and gives it that rustic, authentic touch I enjoy so much. It's a simple dish where the quality of the shrimp is the star, and there's nothing better than mopping up the extra sauce with a piece of bread or white rice. A true feast for seafood lovers!
Instructions
-
1Wash and clean the shrimp, drying them well so they sear correctly.
-
2In a large skillet or clay pot, heat the oil and melt the butter over medium heat.
-
3Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant and starting to turn light golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
-
4Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper; cook for about 3 to 5 minutes per side until they turn bright pink and are firm.
-
5Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice and mix well so all the shrimp are coated in the garlic butter.
-
6Serve immediately in the clay pot, making sure to pour all the golden garlic over the shrimp.
